Presidential Assassinations - James Abram Garfield (b.1831-d.81) was the 20th President of the United States (March-September 1881). Constantly harassed by office seekers, President Garfield met his death after one of them, Charles J. Guiteau, shot the president on 2 Jul 1881. President Garfield died on 19 Sep 1881, and Chester A.
